Miami Heat forward James Johnson will miss at least the next 7-to-10 days after an MRI on his injured right ankle revealed bursitis, the team announced.
Johnson will not travel with the Heat for road games in Atlanta and Boston, the team said.
Johnson suffered the injury in the first quarter of Saturday's 90-85 victory over the LA Clippers.
He is averaging 10.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 18 games this season.
The Heat (15-14) are currently ninth in the Eastern Conference, 1/2 game behind the Milwaukee Bucks for the eighth spot.
