The Miami Heat completed an impressive 4-0 sweep of the Indiana Pacers with a 99-87 win on Monday night to advance to the second round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs.
Though the game was the first of this year’s NBA Playoffs to not feature a team breaking the 100-point mark, it was an entertaining game that featured arguably the strongest Pacers team performance of the series and a spectacular showing from the Heat reserves to find another gear in the second half and outlast their opponent.
As they did in previous games in the series, the shorthanded Pacers were able to play the Heat evenly for stretches of the game but they couldn’t withstand Miami’s depth over time and their offense, already missing Domantas Sabonis, wasn’t enough to overcome a clearly superior team that always found a way to sustain their lead.
