The Miami HEAT defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 96-84 Thursday night at Target Center. Dwyane Wade led the way for the HEAT with 25 points.
1. Vintage Wade
Wade has been Miami’s leading scorer this season and Thursday night was more of the same. The wily vet went off at the end of the first half and scored nine of the HEAT’s last 11 points in the second quarter. With 2.7 seconds left in the half, Ricky Rubio drove against Goran Dragic, but Wade ripped it from him. Wade then took a dribble, spun and threw up a heave from about three-quarter court, which went in to give Miami a 10-point lead.
