Season Rundown:
When the HEAT signed Hassan Whiteside on November 24, he was a relative unknown. Soon enough though, Whiteside would prove to be a diamond-in-the-rough acquisition. Already with a few games under his belt, Whiteside burst onto the scene against the Los Angeles Clippers on January 11 when he tallied 23 points, 16 boards and two blocks. It was his second double-double of the season, a category in which he led the team in with 22. Whiteside used that Clippers game as a launching point and soon had the best performance of his career. Against the Chicago Bulls later that month on January 25, Whiteside posted an historic triple-double with 14 points, 13 rebounds and a franchise-record 12 blocks.
