Gerald Green suspended two games for incident leading to hospitalization

Gerald Green’s first season with the Heat isn’t off to the start he or the team had hoped for.

Last week, the 29-year-old was hospitalized after he was acting in an erratic manner at his condo that reportedly included Green screaming at the top of his lungs and needing to be restrained. Audio of the 911 call made from Green’s condo indicated the former slam dunk contest champion was “unconscious and bleeding.”

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra commented before the team’s game against the Timberwolves that Green is “safe and…healthy right now” which is certainly good news.
