The Miami HEAT fell to the Charlotte Hornets 96-80 Saturday night at Time Warner Cable Arena in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round. Luol Deng led the way for the HEAT with 19 points. Miami now leads the series 2-1.
1. Deng Hot Early
Deng kicked off the game with a corner three and carried that over throughout the first quarter. In fact, Deng hit his first five 3-pointers to help the HEAT stay neck-and-neck with the Hornets early on. The vets’ constant movement off the ball made it difficult for Frank Kaminsky to keep up with him in the first period.
