Dwyane Wade made waves when he referred to the Miami Heat in the past tense during ABC’s pregame show of Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
The words that Twitter keyed in on here: “When I was in Miami.” Or, more specifically… “was.” Heat fans who parsed these words immediately began a Twitter-era freak out. “Oh My gosh he just said he’s not in Miami anymore ahhhhhhh!” Level heads may triumph.
…Wade might leave Miami because of major contractual differences with Heat.
