Point Bam has always been a bit of a misnomer, if not a myth. Sure, it’s a fun moniker to use when he grabs a board and goes coast-to-coast, or when Erik Spoelstra has him bring the ball up the floor every so often, but he was never really running point in those situations even as he functioned as a central playmaker.
