The Miami Heat struck gold with their last two NBA Draft selections, with Bam Adebayo in 2017 and Tyler Herro in 2019. Both played under Kentucky coach John Calipari.

Greg Sylvander of 5 Reasons Sports and Alder Amo of Empire Sports Media both reported that Miami has interviewed Kentucky guard Immanuel Quickley twice.
Quickley played two seasons at Kentucky, so he was a teammate of Herro during the 2018-19 college basketball season.
