The Miami Heat, by many sports standards, are considered a traditional franchise. Since coming into the NBA in 1988, they haven’t done much changing of their logo and uniforms save for a few minor tweaks. They like to have fun with their alternate jerseys, but when it comes to the basics they haven’t tried to fix what isn’t broken. That includes the logo, which is as clean and simple as they come. A basketball on fire going through a hoop. It gets the message across.
However, that didn’t stop one graphic designer from experimenting with a new Miami Heat logo concept.
