Already missing Chris Bosh and with a roster pared down to 13 players, the Miami Heat have one less available player with the news that backup point guard Beno Udrih will have season-ending surgery on his right foot.
Udrih was injured early in Monday's overtime victory against the Indiana Pacers. He averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 assists this season after he arrived in the Mario Chalmers trade and had an immediate impact backing up Goran Dragic. His steady pace and court vision brought stability to the backup point guard position after the Heat had dispatched Norris Cole, Chalmers and Shabazz Napier in trades.
