The Miami Heat quietly announced Friday that backup point guard Beno Udrih successfully underwent surgery to repair a torn plantar plate on his right foot.
The one hour, 45-minute procedure was performed by Heat team physician Dr. Harlan Selesnick and Dr. Thomas San Giovanni at Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute at Doctors Hospital.
Udrih is expected to miss at least three months after injuring his foot during Monday's win over the Indiana Pacers.
"I felt a really sharp pain in my big toe," Udrih later explained to Ethan Skolnick of the Miami Herald.
