The Miami Heat are ecstatic to have Goran Dragic locked up on a new blockbuster long-term deal, and he's quite pleased about remaining in South Beach with his family as well.
“This was an easy decision for us," Dragic said of his decision to remain in Miami. "My wife and I feel really comfortable here. This is the right place.”
So what's Dragic up to since we last saw him in Miami?
“In the summer, the most important thing for me is to go back to Slovenia to see my family, friends and be back in the city where I was born,” Dragić said. “The first step is to get healthy, get my body rested and feeling fresh again. We are a small country, but there are a lot of things to do. You can hike in the mountains, visit the seaside, and go rafting. There are a ton of little lakes and rivers to ski. It’s all very beautiful.”
Dragic signed a five-year, $85 million deal with the team shortly after free agency began on July 1st. There is a slight jump of salary in the neighborhood of $1 million for each year of the agreement.
