In this Heat news update, per a report by Bleacher Report's Ethan Skolnick (via Wes Goldberg of FanSided), the Cleveland Cavs are interested in two Miami Heat players when it comes to a potential trade scenario - Chris "Birdman" Andersen and Norris Cole.
According to Skolnick's report, LeBron James' (old) new team are looking at Cole for their backup point guard position and are targeting Andersen for his rim protection abilities. The Cavs have sorely lacked a true rim protector during the start to this 2014-15 NBA season, and Andersen would be able to provide that in an instant.
In regards to Cole - represented by none other than Rich Paul - his rookie scale contract makes him an intriguing trade asset, especially since he is the only non-rookie on the current Miami Heat roster than can be traded before December 15th.
While compensation hasn't really been discussed and Skolnick's report borders on major speculation, don't be surprised if the Cavs and Heat at least discuss trade options before the end of the year.
