In today's look into Heat rumors regarding the free agency circus surrounding Miami Heat superstar LeBron James, one respected NBA writer believes that, while the odds are good that LeBron will remain in Miami, there is also a chance that he could walk after the market opens on Tuesday.
According to USA Today's Sam Amick, "the question from midnight ET Tuesday forth is whether any of the non-Miami pitches — from the Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and all the rest — will be enticing enough to lure James away. Even with the Heat's early success in restructuring their roster, the prospect of James leaving remains very real."
Per Amick, LeBron will not be present for any of the teams' preliminary pushes for his services. His agent, Klutch Sports' Rich Paul, will begin the dialogue while LeBron continues to weigh his options.
One factor which could weigh very heavily in James' decision-making process is his reported desire to play with New York Knicks free agent Carmelo Anthony. Amick indicates that the duo is "very interested in finding a way to partner and several teams (among them the Heat, Rockets and the Lakers) have been including this component in their strategic approach."
Chat Sports will continue to keep you up-to-date on all the latest surrounding James and his upcoming foray into free agency.
