In another Heat rumors and news update for the second day of the 2014 NBA free agency period, ESPN's Chris Broussard is reporting that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh aren't working together towards a common goal of remaining with the team as previously expected.
According to Broussard, "when the Miami Heat's "Big 3" went their separate ways after a lunch meeting last Wednesday, they went not knowing whether they had played their last game together, according to sources with knowledge of the situation."
He also indicates that both Bosh and Wade want to remain in Miami and make it work, but that both left their meeting with LeBron unsure of his plans for the future.
"It's not a done deal," said one of Broussard's sources, when asked about James' return to Miami. "That's for sure."
Per Broussard, "Bosh and Wade were so uncertain about James's future after last week's meeting that one of them spoke about what the Heat might look like without James, according to one source."
In truth, a wealth of unknown sources can always be misleading - so take these rumors with a grain of salt just like previous reports which stated that Bosh and Wade would take massive pay cuts to help facilitate a max contract for LeBron James.
It's all purely speculative, which will be a going theme for the time being until legitimate concrete action is taken by top free agents such as the Big Three.
