Speaking to the media on Friday, new Miami Heat forward Danny Granger revealed that he is coming off a hush-hush knee surgery just 2 months ago.
For those now worried, fear not - Granger said that everything is on schedule for him to play in the Heat's season opener, via the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.
Per Jackson, Granger will be on a rehab schedule similar to Wade's in 2013:
Granger said he is on maintanance program like Wade was but expects to play in second half of back to backs. Said embraces sixth man role

Also, according to Jason Leiser of the Palm Beach Post, Granger has been asking head coach Erik Spoelstra what position he will play...to little avail.
"I keep asking Spo what position I'm gonna play and he says we don't have positions," Granger said.
Just having a healthy Granger, regardless of his position, is all that seems to count to Spoelstra heading into late October.
