Miami Heat star Chris Bosh is fed up with the defensive problems that have plagued the team at points during the start of the 2014-15 NBA season.
"We had too many breakdowns in our coverages," Bosh said following the Heat's 114-103 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, via Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "I think we guarded the pick-and-roll OK, for the most part. But after they kicked it out, our rotations, we weren't there. It's like we ran out of guys."
With Miami attempting to acclimate a ton of new faces into head coach Erik Spoelstra's system, the growing pains associated with new teammates trying to build that defensive second sense has been painfully apparent at times.
"This defensive system is built on trust, and we're not there yet," Bosh said. "I think that's obvious. But guys have to take their positions, guys have to know their rotations. They have to know exactly what they're doing when the ball goes to a certain place. While we did have guys out, and it is tough, I still like winning. I don't like losing."
