The 2018 NFL Draft is complete and the Miami Dolphins have landed a few coveted undrafted free agents. NFL teams start trying to sign these UDFAs the second the draft ends but most moves became official this week.
While most UDFAs end up being little more than camp bodies, there are players that make the 53-man roster each season. The prospects all went undrafted for a reason, but they all have the potential to make it in the NFL in some role. And sometimes, teams strike gold with an Arian Foster or Tony Romo.
We have every player the Dolphins have signed below.
Jalen Davis, CB, Utah State
Lucas Gravelle, LS, TCU
Connor Hilland, G, William & Mary
Buddy Howell, RB, FAU
Greg Joseph, K, FAU
Claudy Mathieu, DE, Notre Dame (OH)
Mike McCray, LB, Michigan
Anthony Moten, DT, Miami
Jamiyus Pittman, DT, UCF
Quincy Redmon, EDGE, Fairmont State
David Steinmetz, OL, Purdue
It's a decent group for the Dolphins, who are looking to fill some holes to fill on the roster.
Perhaps the most notable player on the list is Michigan linebacker Mike McCray, who was extremely productive each of the last two seasons on a Wolverines defense has was among the best in the country each season. There are questions about him in coverage but he's great against the run.
Another name worth watching is FAU kicker Greg Joseph, who will provide a competition for the kicking job in camp.
