2015 turned out to be an up and down season for the Miami secondary. We brought in a veteran corner in Brice McCain, who was intended to take over the duties of a slot cornerback. We also had a healthy Jamar Taylor who was going to take over as the cornerback opposite of All-Pro Brent Grimes.
Unfortunately, things don’t work out on the field like they do on paper. Brice McCain was repeatedly picked on and despite Miami having nobody to start at the #2 CB, Jamar Taylor still was not able to hold down that position. By the end of a long season Miami was playing rookies to develop basically because they had given up on the plan from the beginning of the season.
