The Miami Dolphins made their first pair of significant roster cuts Friday with the release of former defensive end Quinton Coples and veteran defensive back Brice McCain. The moves saved Miami approximately $10 million in salary for 2016.
However, this is just the beginning in what is expected to be a busy offseason of roster transactions for Miami. The team has an overpaid roster for next season and must make cuts to create the cap room necessary to make improvements after an abysmal 6-10 season.
