The wife of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa spoke with his brother midway through the team's Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills to say he was "OK" after suffering a concussion, according to The MMQB's Albert Breer.
Breer added that Annah Tagovailoa made an "acknowledgment that there was a lot of uncertainty ahead."
The Dolphins star suffered a concussion when he dove forward on a run in the third quarter against Buffalo. ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques noted he "immediately went into a fencing response with his arms in an unnatural position."
Concussions are considered in a far more serious tone than they were in the past thanks to the wider awareness of their long-term health effects.
