DeVante Parker already had a connection to the Miami Dolphins before he became the team’s first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
His wide receivers coach last season was none other than Lamar Thomas, who played the last three of his six NFL seasons for the Dolphins.
During their one year together, Thomas imparted the wisdom he gained during his time in the NFL plus everything else he has learned since becoming a coach.
Parker also got to hear about some of Thomas’ Dolphins exploits, including his career-best 1998 season he caught 43 passes and had a three-touchdown performance in a Monday night victory against the eventual Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos.
