Back in 2021, the Miami Dolphins made a trade that would pay huge dividends for them down the road. At the time, we had no clue what the future held for the Dolphins, but now we can see the value they got out of making that trade with the San Francisco 49ers, who ended up drafting quarterback Trey Lance. The 49ers traded up with the Dolphins before the 2021 draft which resulted in Miami getting he 12th overall pick in 2021, first and third round picks in 2022, and a first in 2023. The Dolphins used these picks to draft Jaylen Waddle and made trades for Tyreek Hill and Bradley Chubb.
