The Dolphins stadium has undergone many name changes in it’s history and it’s only fitting that with the stadium undergoing the final off-season of a three year renovation plan that a new name grace the facade.
After Joe Robbie passed on his team to his children and then sold the franchise to Wayne Huizenga, Joe Robbie Stadium became Pro-Player Stadium, then it became Dolphins Stadium, Landshark Stadium for a season, and of course Sun-Life Stadium. Sun-Life Financial tried to get a hold on the South Florida market but the Canadian based company moved back North a couple of years ago.
