Stephen Ross in London, reportedly trying to form super soccer league

Talk about Europe’s most powerful soccer clubs swerving onto a renegade path by forming their own “super league” has been speculated upon for years, even though no one has pulled it off.

This week, a new player entered the picture who has the British media aflutter: Dolphins owner Stephen Ross.

Ross and his associates quietly met with representatives of five of the highest-profile clubs in the English Premier League at a swank London hotel on Tuesday to discuss possibly changing the face of European soccer.

The invitation-only super league reportedly would include world powers Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, which features Lionel Messi.
