Veteran running back Sony Michel plans to sign with the Miami Dolphins, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Monday.
Michel will join a crowded backfield in a new-look Miami offense under first-year coach Mike McDaniel. Raheem Mostert and Chase Edmonds signed earlier this offseason, joining holdovers Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed.
Michel, who turned 27 in February, rushed for 845 yards and scored five touchdowns (4 rushing, 1 receiving) for the Super Bowl-champion Los Angeles Rams last season.
The Rams acquired him from the New England Patriots last August for fifth- and sixth-round picks in the 2022 draft.
