Some cuts, an injury, the kicking competition and a look at safety

The Miami Dolphins are making moves this morning as they are getting down to the 53-man roster limit by Saturday.

Already defensive tackle Anthony Johnson has been cut. Having made the team last season and started the training camp on second-team, it is somewhat disappointing that Johnson got passed in the defensive tackle rotation.

The Dolphins still have C.J. Mosley and A.J. Francis on the squad. Mosley started and played extensively Thursday night. Francis, meanwhile, played much of the second half. Both played relatively well, I'm told.

Tough decision which one to pick.

There are other lesser cuts: Guard Mike Liedtke, who had an untimely holding call that nullified what would have been a 105-yard kickoff return Thursday, has been cut, per his agent Brett Tessler.
