The NFL is a copycat league and you never know where you may take inspiration from.
Sean McVay, coach of the Los Angeles Rams, hosts a podcast called “Flying Coach” with Peter Schrager, host of Good Morning Football on NFL Network.
On a recent show, following an interview with Joe Judge, coach of the New York Giants, McVay was asked for his favorite “big-brain” call from the 2021 season.
“I don’t know that I’ve had a big-brain play but a good copy play might’ve been the two-point play that we scored against the Packers where we ended up throwing a perimeter screen to Van Jefferson and then he flipped it to Cam Akers coming out of the backfield,” McVay said.
