MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins are handling an off-the-field issue swiftly. Linebacker Rey Maualuga was reportedly arrested on Friday night, then released by the team on Saturday afternoon.
Maualuga joined the Dolphins this season as a free agent after spending his first 8 years in Cincinnati. The Bengals drafted him in the second round back in 2009.
Maualuga will hit the waiver wire and if unclaimed, will become a free agent.
