DAVIE — The Dolphins’ secondary started training camp as a thin group, but it hasn’t shaken safety Reshad Jones’ confidence.
With cornerbacks Xavien Howard and Bobby McCain on the physically unable to perform list, it has given other young defensive backs opportunities to step up at the start of training camp.
“I think we got a great group of guys in the room,” Jones said Saturday. “That’s the beauty of the NFL, it’s a next man up mentality. With those guys down, I think we have a lot of young guys and a lot of veteran guys that can fill that void.
