DAVIE (CBSMiami) – Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has put a lot of money into renovating the team’s home stadium.
With finishing touches being applied to the stadium’s new shade canopy and the playing field installed, it seems that only one main thing is missing.
A name.
Since the naming rights owned by Sun Life Financial expired earlier this year, the building has gone by the generic name “New Miami Stadium.”
On Wednesday the Dolphins will host a press conference to announce what the stadium’s new name will be and the Miami Herald is reporting that the name will be Hard Rock Stadium.
