The Miami Dolphins did a wise thing in claiming slot cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu off waivers from the Cleveland Browns.
It is wise because the Dolphins have a need at the position (yes, including at the slot). It is wise because this is a free gift. It costs the Dolphins nothing now and minimal cap space if Ekpre-Olomu makes the roster. There is a great upside if Ekpre-Olomu gets healthy and returns to the form he showed in Oregon in 2014 before he blew out a need that required reconstructive surgery.
And if E-O fails to get healthy -- obviously something the Cleveland Browns thought because they simply waived him -- well, then, the Dolphins will do similarly and he will be waived.
