Mike Tannenbaum brought Quinton Coples aboard once before and whiffed.
It isn’t stopping him from trying again.
Coples practiced with the Dolphins for the first time on Wednesday, two days after being waived by the New York Jets and shortly after being reunited with Tannenbaum, the Dolphins’ executive vice president of football operations.
“He was excited,” Coples said of his conversation with Tannenbaum, who as the Jets’ general manager in 2012 made him the 16th overall pick. “He was a guy who drafted me, who knows my potential. He knows what I can do. It was a great reunion for us.
