Four Dolphins will participate in Sunday’s Pro Bowl, and a total of five Dolphins earned Pro Bowl designation. That’s quite an honor.
Yet the most significant bowl game for the Dolphins organization this week, by far, is the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., not the Pro Bowl in Honolulu.
There was a time when that wasn’t the case. Way back in 2000, and 2002, when the Dolphins were stringing together winning seasons and having seven or eight players earn Pro Bowl status, the Pro Bowl was a symbol of pride. It was a show of accomplishment and recognition.
