Miami – Miami Dolphins President & CEO Tom Garfinkel today announced that the Dolphins Cycling Challenge has changed its name to the Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC). The updated name reflects the goals and additional events created to fight cancer, starting with two Fall Family Fests in November and culminating with DCC VI, a tri-county bike ride and run/walk event, scheduled for February 20, 2016.
One hundred percent of the funds raised by participants go to fighting the disease. In the first five years of the DCC, $11.55 million has been donated to critical cancer research at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami.
