CARLSBAD, Calif.—The Dolphins were down several key defenders for today, their first practice of the week as they prepare for Sunday’s game at Los Angeles.
Starting outside linebacker Jelani Jenkins worked on the side, and defensive end Mario Williams did not practice. Jenkins has been playing through a broken bone in his left hand. Williams sprained his ankle in the win over San Diego.
Fellow back-up linebacker Jason Jones also did not practice, though there has been no mention of an injury with him. Jones spoke to the media prior to practice and gave no indication he was hurt, so this might have been simply a veteran’s day off.
