Two weeks of Miami Dolphins organized team activities have come and gone, and optimism seems to be the name of the game right now.
Expectations are high around the franchise heading into Adam Gase's third season, just as they always are when May turns into June even though the first game of the regular season is still more than three months away and the team is coming off a 6-10 season.
While there are positives to take from these practices — the veteran approach of Frank Gore and Danny Amendola, Minkah Fitzpatrick's initial performance and the energy surrounding practice — all of it could irrelevant if the team fails to show up when the season begins in September.
