Play-making players deserve the credit for Dolphins' playoff appearance

Congratulations to the Dolphins, who are in the playoffs for the first time since 2008. And although coach Adam Gase deserves a lot of credit – he might be the Coach of the Year – it’s the players that really made this thing go.

The players deserve the vast majority of the credit for this playoff hard-fought appearance. The players made plays, something that sounds simple, but something that eludes the majority of NFL teams.

Gase and his coaching staff, headed by defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen and Darren Rizzi, assistant head coach/special teams coordinator, put the players in position to make plays with their schemes and play-calling.
