Dolphins owner Steve Ross raised eyebrows Monday when he said “After three years, if we haven’t made the playoffs, we’re looking for a new coach. That’s just the way it is. The fans want it.”
Ross, according to the Palm Beach Post, made that comment while speaking to the Palm Beach Civic Association.
My response?
Good for Steve Ross. I applaud him for making that statement. It’s not disrespectful toward newly-named coach Adam Gase. Rather, it’s a dose of reality for Gase.
Here’s the bottom line: How many Dolphins fans would be happy with Gase in 2019 if the team has stretched its playoff drought to 10 consecutive years?
