Former Dolphins Director of Professional Scouting Pat Peppler passed away on Tuesday. He was 93 years old.
All told, Peppler won five NFL championships, including two Super Bowls with the Dolphins and an NFL championship and two Super Bowls with the Green Bay Packers.
Peppler joined the Dolphins on March 24, 1972. He was part of Miami’s consecutive Super Bowl championships, a stretch that included a perfect 17-0 campaign during the 1972 NFL season. On February 26, 1975, he left Miami to accept the position of general manager for the Atlanta Falcons.
Prior to joining the Dolphins, Peppler was director of player personnel for the Green Bay Packers, where he worked with Head Coach Vince Lombardi in helping continue a talent pipeline that won three championships, including their first two Super Bowls.
