DAVIE (CBSMiami/AP) — After making the playoffs in 2016, the Miami Dolphins took a step backwards last season.
The problems weren’t exclusive to either side of the ball as both the offense and defense struggled mightily at times during the 6-win campaign.
The team is expecting improvement across the board.
Dolphins defensive coordinator Matt Burke plans to go diving in Bora Bora on summer vacation, and when he returns he’ll really start trying to figure out who should play where this season.
Burke and the rest of the defensive staff have been experimenting and evaluating during spring non-contact drills.
