When Arthur Ray walked onto the practice field at the Doctors Hospital Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University on Friday morning, he was doing his best to focus on the first practice of the rookie minicamp and not get too caught up in the moment.
It wasn’t easy.
For every player like Ray attending the Dolphins rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, just getting the opportunity to show NFL coaches he belongs is thrilling. It’s especially rewarding for Ray considering the road he traveled to get here.
“I’ve been through so much,” Ray said after practice.
