What was supposed to be an eye-pleasing experience for John Congemi last weekend became an eye-opener.
Congemi, a college football analyst for ESPN and a host of the Dolphins’ in-house programming, sat down with his 22-year-old son, Johnny, for a Sunday afternoon of NFL games.
Problem 1: Johnny had the remote.
Problem 2: Johnny had two fantasy teams to monitor.
So instead of, say, focusing on Patriots-Bills, John was subjected to the touchdown-a-minute pointfest that is NFL RedZone. It wasn’t until Dad took the remote that he was “at peace” with the idea of being able to “get a feel for the game and put my analyst hat on.
