The deadline for NFL players to opt-out of the 2020 season due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic is rapidly approaching. Under the agreement made between the NFL and NFLPA, all players must make the decision whether or not to opt-out of the 2020 NFL season by the August 3, 2020 deadline.
Players considered high risk for COVID-19 that choose to opt-out of the 2020 NFL season can earn $350K and an accrued NFL season, per ESPN. Players without risk can earn $150K if they choose to opt-out.
