NFL Owners Vote To Move Extra Point Kicks Back To The 15 Yard Line For The 2015 Season
The NFL owners have been holding their spring meetings this week in San Francisco and among other topics discussed was the rule of where to place the ball for extra point kicks. This is of course not a new discussion as the owners long ago came to the realization that the extra point kick was not only all but automatic at this point but also left no intrigue for the fans sitting at home watching the games.
The proposal that was put forward and then approved this week will move the placement of the ball for an extra point conversion back to the 15 yard line while leaving it at the two if a team decides to attempt the two point conversion.
