MIAMI (CBSMiami) — The Dolphins’ Kenny Stills and Michael Thomas taught Lakeside Elementary kids how to be ‘Dol-fit’ this week.
“We teach these kids that education is important, being physically fit is important and the choices you make in life are important, that makes you ‘Dol-Fit,'” explained former linebacker Twan Russell.
Players aren’t just coaching the kids, they’re showing them how to get out there and be active. They urge kids to follow a plan called ‘Play 60.’
“Kids who exercise 60 minutes a day are smarter than kids who don’t because you get the blood flowing.
