Doughty can call Dan Marino a friend. He grew up just down the road from the Dolphins stadium and parlayed a high-school career into a college one that led him to the 7th round. A lifelong Dolphins fan, Doughty beamed when asked about playing for the Dolphins.
His time with Miami, at least for now, has run out. The Dolphins who released him when they trimmed to 53 have now waived him from their practice squad.

It’s not uncommon for players to be subtracted and added from the PS so there is always a chance that Doughty will find his way back on that unit.
