DAVIE — Miami Dolphins tight end Jordan Cameron had only 3 targets, 2 catches and 6 yards in the season opener at Seattle, but he says he’s going to prioritize team success over targets.
“It just depends on what the role is,” Cameron said Wednesday. “I mean, the system dictates obviously your catches and your touches and your targets. So if my role is to get more targets, that’s my role and I’ll embrace it. And if not, I’ve always been a team-first guy.
“So my mindset has been very unselfish. In my head, whatever I can do to help this team take the next step and win more games, that’s really what matters to me.
