Miami Dolphins still expect stadium renovation to be ready for start of season

The Dolphins still expect to play their final preseason game on Sept. 1 in Miami Gardens.

Apparently, South Florida radio personality Hank Goldberg is hearing otherwise. Goldberg told CBS Sports that the two-year, $500 million renovation of the building formerly known as Sun Life Stadium might not be ready until November.

The Dolphins issued a statement dismissing the report.

“The reports that the stadium won’t be ready for football until November are incorrect,” Dolphins Senior Vice President Bill Senn said in a statement. “Getting a project of this scale done in this timeframe is unprecedented and the contractor is working diligently on a 24/7 basis to complete the canopy structure.
